The Safety Group calls on the experience of personnel from architectural, surveying and contracting backgrounds to provide a thorough understanding of design processes, construction methods, health and safety issues and relevant legislation which are all essential for effective CDM Co-ordination.
Our consultants are registered members of the Association for Project Safety (APS), as qualified CDM Co-ordinators. We have been CDM co-ordinators on a wide range of projects including new industrial units, the restoration of historic and Grade I listed buildings, residential developments, offices, shops and housing associations.
We can help with;
* The notification of the project to the Health & Safety Executive
* Advice to the Client on duties under the CDM Regulations
* Preparation of the Pre-Construction Information Pack, and of the H&S file for issue to the client at handover
* Review of tenders to Health & Safety minimum specifications
* Monitoring design changes and the development of the Health & Safety Plan on site, with monthly reportage
* Auditing of contractors' Health & Safety policies.

The Safety Group are happy to be able to offer seminars to clients, contractors or designers on their responsibilities under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007, and on health and safety issues in construction.
